FLOW-3D AM

FLOW-3D AM is a dedicated additive manufacturing simulation tool that helps engineers and researchers optimize their designs through studying the process on the layer scale. It enables the user to do the following:

•  Access a wide range of fully-defined materials,
•  Examine melt pool dynamics,
•  Gain total control over laser source’s shape, size, velocity, power, and path,
•  Include more than one material (i.e., dissimilar metals printing),
•  Model multi-layer prints,
•  Predict process-related defects (e.g., keyholes and porosities),
•  Study liquid-solid interactions, and
•  Study particle-particle interactions.
